- Hired Gun is the definition of emcee: skilled party rocker, and an ambassador for the art. Born in New Jersey he was raised on Black Pride, Middle Class numbness, a steady diet of overt racism, and DJ Red Alert. Through his journey in life he’s taken his triumphs, observations and setbacks and expressed them in the only way that made sense, rhyme. Very much aware of the traditions and heritage that make up the Diaspora, Hired looks to set upon the path of most resistance, share himself, and get you to question the world around you. As a lone artist, he brings raw energy and skill to the mic, while at the same time giving you his side of his people’s story. No apologies. No regrets. One of the most versatile emcees of his generation, he is Hired Gun.
