RHED ZHONE REKKORDZ is a label proudly bringing timeless music to its Toronto home base. In this time of instability Rhed Zhone Rekkordz brings a positive message of hope through the music of its main artist King Justice. Committed to putting an end to the violent trends, bringing communities together and encouraging young artists to turn their real life situations into art –King Justice is a breath of fresh air!
`One of the most prolific MC’s in the history of Canadian Hip Hop”!! Justice's musical tastes are diverse, with vocals settling on hardcore funk, reggae, jazz and hip hop beats. Meticulously lyrical, King Just has also been dubbed " Tha great talk slinga " by his peers for his style of delivery. Justice is a writer, producer,and also owner of the FUNKZHONE ENTERTAINMENT Enterprise, which houses RHED ZHONE REKKORDZ and RHED ZHONE PRODUCTIONZ.
In 1995 King Just was signed to the independent FUZZ record label,(under the title Mistablunthamastamind) where he attracted listener's all over the world with his unique lyrical flow. In the spring of that same year, Justice recorded his self titled EP, Lyrical Alienation. This gave way to opening for a barrage of well known artists such as Hip Hop legend KRS ONE, LEADERS OF THE NEW SCHOOL, PUBLIC ENEMY and BLACK SHEEP to name a few. Committed to the preservation of the art form, Justice started to produce his own music, and honed the unique lyrical flow that we hear today. A hard working MC with a reputation as one of Hip Hop’s Ambassadors, one year later, he founded RHED ZHONE REKKORDZ.
King Just carries with him a long list of musical achievements and collaborations. He continues to build a fan base via the official RHED ZHONE REKKORDZ My Space page where his listeners are able to indulge in his versatility as a performer. Some of his accomplishments to date include:
• FLOW 93.5’s FLOWSEARCH contest 2006 – King Just placed as one of the top 3 finalists,where over 250 of Toronto’s hungriest em.cees battled for a recording contract.
• Urbnet 2007 – King Just produced, recorded and released a Single called Dokkz of Doom featuring Boozie,(TRU PAZ), which was distributed by Urbnet, one of Canada’s most prominent Hip Hop Distribution labels, and can currently be downloaded at CBC Radio 3.
• Live Performances – King Just has most recently performed live with Brother Ali for CMW, Del tha funky homosapien, De La Soul at Wakestock, Planet Asia and completed a Tour with Urbnet Artists Tru Paz.
• Albums - Justice is currently featured on two tracks on TRU PAZ new album called CONCRETE KINGS, where he has continued to receive great reviews, from magazines and radio shows both locally and internationally.
King Justice is currently finishing his album called " Tha Gift... A Tribute to Hip Hop", collaborating with producers Andrew Kilgour, formerly of Hayworld/Backburner Prod., and Dj Unknown (Tru Paz)/ Beat Kitchen Productions,he has completed his single, and is also producing new material for his up and coming project, "FIYAH AN BRIMSTHONE. .
King Justice represents a unique brand of Timeless Hip Hop Music which transcends age, race, religion and social status. With his main mission being ‘to produce good music with substance that we can all enjoy forever’, most agree that once King Justice and RHED ZHONE REKKORDZ emerge,Hip Hop will never be the same!
